That's a wrap, folks. Principal photography on Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald has officially been completed, which means we're one step closer to returning to everyone's favorite wizarding world. Alison Sudol, who returns as the adorable Queenie Goldstein, took to the film's official Twitter account to let fans know the exciting news.
Now that filming has wrapped, production moves to the folks behind the scenes who will edit and bring to life those magical creatures and special effects that make these movies so fun.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is the second of a planned five-film franchise from Warner Bros., initially based on J.K. Rowling's book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The first film, set in 1926 New York City, introduced us to magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and all of his magical creatures, while also setting up the major arc of this prequel franchise to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
The Crimes of Grindelwald picks up pretty much where Fantastic Beasts left off, but moves the action to Paris. Newt and his friends are enlisted by Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) to help stop Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp), who has escaped custody and is gathering followers, many who are unsuspecting to his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings.
The magic returns when Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald hits theaters November 16, 2018.
