The only way they can drum up excitement for this is by calling it a prequel. Stupid

@ComicsBornAndBred yeah since Stephen Hawking and magician Newt Scamander roles are the same....

@superdood

Like the only way they can drum up excitement for Rogue One is by calling it "a star wars story"?

You mean by finally having star wars films independent of the main story much like how the many EU books did?

@IronRuhail
Is there a point to what you said? The dood said it's stupid that on the first magazine cover they say it's a harry potter prequel, so i say that is stupid the title of rogue one is "a star wars story". I could give a [frick] if a loosely cannon book series does the same thing

@dannramm113
Yes, there is for years and years since the EU was a thing legions of Star wars have wanted content, characters and stories from it to appear on screen in one way or another because to them its very much represents a foundation and important part of the universe of the star wars mythos unlike this particular project which has a vague connection to the HP universe.

Rogue One is hundreds of bloody times more a star wars story than this can be seen as a HP prequel.

@sixthsense I meant in that he's very attracted toOscar bait roles. I actually like that he's stepping outside his wheelhouse qith this. Besides Jupiter Ascending, he's done stuff like Theory of Everything, the up and coming Danish girl. It feels like he's dipping into a bag of tricks. Maybe I'm still salty over his oscar win last year....I think DiCaprio deserved it, but hey, who am I to hate? I just wanted see Redmayne play a role that'd more genuine and human; a regular joe idk

I think I will enjoy this a lot more than the Harry Potter movies, it's completely different story that moves away from the wizard school so pretty much everyone in it is an already established wizard, which means it wont be a movie showing bad child acting almost 90% of the time, its set in a different time and in New York so to me its seems like they have made a good move and distanced themselves from the original material as much as possible as that story has already been told, I think it might be an amazing movie by the sound of it and it has got Ron Pearlman in ffs, how could I not want to see it.

I cannot believe they bit that hard off of 11. It'd be cool if it was influenced by Smith's Doctor, but they straight up took the outfit piece by piece and just changed the colors. Thank you for posting those pics bud!

@maxx Apparently Matt Smith wanted to be in this movie. With how the outfit looks i'm not surprised.
