Just a little under a month to go until we're all taken back into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with J.K. Rowling's latest magical creation - Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The film will take us on a journey into the '20s where we'll meet magizoologist Newt Scamander and follow him as he arrives in America and subsequently has his suitcase full of magical beasts break free. Even with the days ticking down, not much else about the film's plot is known, but with Rowling announcing five films total as well as the most recent synopsis mentioning Gellert Grindelwald, there are plenty of reasons to believe the films could be setting up the pieces to tell one of the most famous and mysterious stories in Potter lore.

Empire Magazine recently debuted the exclusive subscribers-only cover for their November issue, check it out below:

There are growing dangers in the wizarding world of 1926 New York. Something mysterious is leaving a path of destruction in the streets, threatening to expose the wizarding community to the Second Salemers, a fanatical faction of No-Majs (American for Muggles) bent on eradicating them. And the powerful, dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, after wreaking havoc in Europe, has slipped away…and is now nowhere to be found.

Unaware of the rising tensions, Newt Scamander arrives in the city nearing the end of a global excursion to research and rescue magical creatures, some of which are safeguarded in the hidden dimensions of his deceptively nondescript leather case. But potential disaster strikes when unsuspecting No-Maj Jacob Kowalski inadvertently lets some of Newt’s beasts loose in a city already on edge—a serious breach of the Statute of Secrecy that former Auror Tina Goldstein jumps on, seeing her chance to regain her post. However, things take an ominous turn when Percival Graves, the enigmatic Director of Magical Security at MACUSA (Magical Congress of the USA), casts his suspicions on both Newt…and Tina.

Now allied, Newt and Tina, together with Tina’s sister, Queenie, and their new No-Maj friend, Jacob, form a band of unlikely heroes, who must recover Newt’s missing beasts before they come to harm. But the stakes are higher than these four outsiders—now branded fugitives—ever imagined, as their mission puts them on a collision course with dark forces that could push the wizarding and No-Maj worlds to the brink of war.

@Shazam - It's a completely new story, based on a school book in the Harry Potter Wizarding World. Readin' the books is not necessary, so.

@Shazam - You should still read them. There will be references to the books that you will miss if you don't read them.

All this movie is confirming is that there is no reason a good Pokemon movie can't be made. I don't want Detective Pikachu, I want a good original adventure story, not gimmicks.

@BIGBMH - Nice avatar Bro...Static is one of my favorite Milestone books and characters in the DCAU Timmverse.

@Shazam - Thanks! I actually never checked out the original Milestone book, but I really liked the series. When Static and Batman Beyond showed up in Justice League Unlimited, I had the one of the most hardcore geekout moments of my life.

And there goes Hollywood, changing stories just to suite themselves.
I've read the Harry Potter books at least 3 times, and they have always made it seem like Grindewald was only stopped by Dumbledore and that was once.

So it makes no sense now why he would 'slip' away from Europe and travel to America when he had Europe on their knees before Dumbledore defeated them.
