Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend. Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.

Also starring Aksel Hennie, Rufus Sewell, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, John Hurt, Rebecca Ferguson and Tobias Santelmann, Hercules is set to hit theaters July 25th, 2014.

This looks cool for the most...

It sure feels like a ghost town around here this weekend. It must be the calm before the storm because I know next weekend is going to be bananas with the SDCC news and rumors flying left and right.

@alexander

Brett Ratner is the only thing about this movie is off putting about this movie
But the action in this movie looks on point and The Rock is pretty much Hercules in real life anyways

Rock is a cool dude, but this looks pretty bad. Ratner just doesn't bring anything special to the table. He's just an average filmmaker. There have been dozens of movies just like this. The action looks average, the plot looks lame, and the overall look of the movie is pretty drab. This looks like B movie version of Gladiator. At least movies like 300 and Immortals had some amazing visual flare.

I hope they leave out the part where Hercules had 100s of lovers including young men...

I wish that there was a way for this film to succeed and, yet, have Ratner fail.

Jason Momoa was a better Conan than Arnold Schwarzenegger

@kevberg - that entire beginning to that movie was awesome! So perfect. I even think there were some homage frames to the original Arnie version. I've watched it about 7 times.

True fact - of the 7 times watching the movie, I've never once made it to the end of Momoa's section with out falling sound asleep. I have no idea if the movie is even good or not, or what the hell the plot is... I'm determined to get through it one day.
