Ray Winstone Looking Like A Bloody Mess On The Set Of NOAH

Yesterday on the set of Darren Aronofsky's biblical epic, "Noah," actor Ray Winstone was spotted in full costume and with bloody wounds on his head and leg. Hit the jump to check it out.

Ray Winstone ("The Departed") is playing Noah's nemesis, a cult leader that opposes the creation of the Ark from the very beginning. He will even attempt to turn Noah's oldest son, Ham, against him. By the looks of those set photos below it would appear as though Noah came to blows with Ray Winstone's character. Russell Crowe probably went all Old Testament on his ass. Amen!

He's got that rugged look: The actor looks pretty banged up ... but it's only for his latest film role

NOAH is a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood. The screenplay was written by Darren Aronofsky and Ari Handel and revised by Academy Award®-nominated screenwriter John Logan (GLADIATOR, HUGO). Scott Franklin and Aronofsky of Protozoa Pictures, along with Mary Parent of Disruption Entertainment, will produce the film. The film will be executive produced by Ari Handel (BLACK SWAN), Arnon Milchan of New Regency and Chris Brigham (INCEPTION, ARGO).

Noah is being directed by Darren Aronofsky ("The Wrestler"), and stars Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, Logan Lerman, Douglas Booth and Sir Anthony Hopkins. The film is set to hit theaters March 28th, 2014.

He just tried explaining to Noah how ludicrous it is to try to fit millions of species of animals onto a boat . Noah told him where he could stick his logic and reasoning.

Cult leader? I'm not saying these people weren't around during the time of Noah and before the flood, but Aronofsky seems more keen in injecting his own perception of the Bible story and not sticking to the actual source.

I agree though with one of the posters, this looks more Europeanized or too modernized for the times that it took place. Russell Crowe among the others look like they're part of the set of a new swords and sandals-movie than Noah.

Still waiting on a trailer for this but day by day my enthusiasm for this wanes.

@GordonShumway That's ironic because Noah, in the Bible, also had a drinking problem.
