Deadline is reporting that Paramount's IF, an upcoming fantasy adventure film directed by John Krasinski (A Quiet Place; The Hollars), has added Academy Award-nominee Steve Carell (The Office; The Morning Show), BAFTA Film Award-nominee Alan Kim (MinariAwkwafina is Nora from Queens), Cailey Fleming (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker; Loki) & Academy Award-winner Louis Gossett Jr. (An Officer and a Gentleman; Roots) to its ensemble cast.

The four join a cast headlined by Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool; Free Guy), with both 3x Primetime Emmy-winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Solo: A Star Wars Story; Indiana Jones 5) and Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter; Killing Eve) also attached.

Plot details are currently unknown, but the film is based on an original idea from Krasinski, and will tell the tale of a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination. In addition to directing and writing, Krasinski will produce the picture.

Carell's casting is a pretty big deal for fans of The Office, as this film will mark the first time he and Krasinski have reunited since the series wrapped in 2013. It's currently unclear whether Krasinski will appear in the film, but an on-camera reunion between the pair would certainly be a welcome moment for audiences across the globe.

Paramount has already slated the film to open in theaters on November 17, 2023.
