This new trailer was the one I saw screened at Dublin's Movie Fest and although I hadn't been too impressed with anything I had seen from this movie previously, this and a scene they screened for us changed that.

The footage screened was a full battle scene involving some of the Gods, led by Luke Evans as Zeus, entering a chamber where the imprisoned Titans have just been freed. The clash is pretty spectacular and very gory. It is a little reminiscent of Zack Snyder's 300 as we have all already noted from the trailers, but I think once people get over that there could be a lot to enjoy here. It will at the very least be a feat for the eyeballs.

Eons after the Gods won their mythic struggle against the Titans, a new evil threatens the land. Mad with power, King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) has declared war against humanity. Amassing a bloodthirsty army of soldiers disfigured by his own hand, Hyperion has scorched Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares. Only he who possesses this bow can unleash the Titans, who have been imprisoned deep within the walls of Mount Tartaros since the dawn of time and thirst for revenge. In the king’s hands, the bow would rain destruction upon mankind and annihilate the Gods. But ancient law dictates the Gods must not intervene in man’s conflict. They remain powerless to stop Hyperion…until a peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) comes forth as their only hope. Secretly chosen by Zeus, Theseus must save his people from Hyperion and his hordes. Rallying a band of fellow outsiders–including visionary priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and cunning slave Stavros (Stephen Dorff) — one hero will lead the uprising, or watch his homeland fall into ruin and his Gods vanish into legend.

I completely agree with Grif. Seriously, there is nothing even remotely interesting about this film. It looks like they took 300 and poored "Clash of the Shit" all over it. Conan actually looks better. Kinda like a less smelly turd.

Reminds me of the Clash of Titans remake (not a good thing), and some of the costumes look terrible.

Still, hope it surprises me, and the same with Conan.

They screened a battle with Zeus and some of the gods as they raided a hidden tomb/crypt in a mountain at Comic-Con. It was pretty epic and stylish. But I agree with some of you that it feels sort of knocked off from 300 and Clash. Although the footage they screened at Hall H made it seem more interesting than the original trailer failed to do.

Wow, lots of clueless haters on here. First of all, the production team is the same as the production team on 300, so there's bound to be a few creative similarities, as it is their style afterall. And secondly, this looks absolutely epic. Tarsem Singh is no Louis Leterrier, therefore this is going to make the Clash remake look like community theatre. Visually this is going to be a transcendent experience, and the sheer mythology of it all is going to guarantee a great experience for anyone that isn't a too-cool-for-school doosh.
