WILLY WONKA Reboot Shortlist Includes JUSTICE LEAGUE's Ezra Miller And SOLO Star Donald Glover
Warner Bros. has begun to put a shortlist together for its upcoming Willy Wonka remake, and we're hearing Donald Glover, Ezra Miller and Ryan Gosling are leading the pack. Find out more after the jump...
It seems Warner Bros. has some very big names in mind to lead their upcoming Willy Wonka reboot.
According to Collider, the shortlist of actors in line to play the eccentric chocolatier is led by Ezra Miller (Justice League), Ryan Gosling (Blade Runner 2049) and Donald Glover (Solo: A Star Wars Story).
There's no indication if any of these guys are close to landing the role or not, but the report does mention that the movie is actually expected to be a prequel which will build towards the events of Roald Dahl's classic children's novel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
The new Willy Wonka film will be directed by Paddington helmer Paul King, with David Heyman (Harry Potter) producing and and screenwriter Simon Rich (Man Seeking Woman) on script duty.
