A follow-up to the 2009 release of G.I. JOE: RISE OF THE COBRA, which grossed over $300M worldwide, Paramount Pictures, MGM and Skydance Productions, in association with HASBRO and di Bonaventura Pictures, commences production on G.I. JOE: RETALIATION. In this sequel, the G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence.

G.I. Joe Retaliation stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum, Bruce Willis, Dwayne Johnson, and will be released on June 29, 2012.

grif

Yeah I dont see how he is alive. He was stabbed with 2 swords I think and fell into freezing water. Plus the underwater station they were in flooded and exploded.

Unless he pulls a Captain America and was frozen, he should be dead.

In the trailer it kinda looks like he is a clone.

Man I hope the rumors about Storm Shadow turning good aren't true.

Who the hell would Snake Eyes rival and fight against?

I'm glad about this "two endings" news because the ending that I saw sucked- bad. I couldn't figure out why they would do something so bad, but now I do.

!SPOILER!

The ending I saw will most likely be shit canned because it is just so terrible, so here it is:

Cobra Commander in fancy helicopter flies up on Road Block who is recovering from his fight with Firefly and unarmed with no cover. He demands that Roadblock hand over the key to his super weapon or he'll kill him. Just when Cobra Commander gives the order to kill Road Block we see Snake Eyes run up with an M249 machine gun which he hands to Road Block. Road Block opens fire on the helicopter which then spins out of control, hits a bridge, blows up and then sinks into the water. With this ending there is no possible way for Cobra Commander not to be dead, so it is obviously not going to be used by any studio unless they seriously lack intelligence.

!SPOILER!
