Ever since Snake Eyes cast Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) as the eponymous hero, fans have been eagerly waiting for the announcement that reveals who will be playing his greatest rival, Storm Shadow. Now, thanks to a new report from The Wrap, we may finally have an answer.

According to the site, multiple sources confirmed that Andrew Koji, star of the Cinemax series Warrior, will follow in the footsteps of Byung-hun Lee (The Magnificent Seven) to tackle the role of Storm Shadow.

Plot details on the G.I. Joe spinoff remain under wraps, but we do know R.I.P.D. and Red director Robert Schwentke will take the helm of the film, which has a script from writer Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and The Beast).

Paramount’s Snake Eyes is currently set to hit theaters on October 16, 2020.

I really liked Lee in the role. I don’t know anything about this guy.

I assumed from the Snake Eyes' casting they would cast a black woman as Storm Shadow.

Isn't one of the main reasons for Storm Shadows and Snake Eyes rivalry, the fact that Snake Eyes was white? And that Storm Shadow saw him as a white interloper and didn't think him worthy of the training they received? Similar to the relationship between Iron Fist and Steel Serpent.

@TheDoctor1225 - My current predictions are:
Adam Driver (Marriage Story)
Joaquin
De Niro (Irishman)
DiCaprio (OUTATIH)
Antonio Banderas (Pain & Glory)
Any other Year I could see Edward Norton, Michael B. Jordan (for that lawyer film coming), Robert Pattinson for the Lighthouse looking like locks for nominations, but this year seems so competitive. Feel like Driver's gonna win it tbh, Joaquin saying "[frick] the Oscars, they're bull-shit" isn't gonna help his chances lmao.

I read a report that says Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow will be former lovers and their split will further fuel their rivalry.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.......................................!!!

Warriors was the best new show of 2019 for me, I was sad to finish it.
Thought that Andrew Koji was amazing as the lead on the show and enjoyed his charismatic portrayal.

Should have been Scarlett Johannson. We all know she likes taking roles from other ethnic groups and trees.

Another property that has close to 40 years worth of history, ruined from the start. Why do they let people put their own "spin" on things? If I was an investor I'd want someones head on a plate. This film will head straight to the blue bins at Walmart.
No reason for this, Larry Hama is alive and well! He could be asked to do some consulting or a rough draft for a film, but know they get Evan Spiliotopoulos some Greek dude with a bunch of shitty Direct-to-video writing credits to his name. Sorry for the rant, Big G.I. joe nut here.

I still wanna see Warriors. His scenes in that show must have really impressed the casting director(s) so action wise I doubt there will be any issues.

Ayy my boy Koji is getting it! Wanted him for Kenshi in Mortal Kombat though.

@InfiniteMonkey - Koji is a damn beast for a guy who isn't as experienced as Joe Taslim (the guy he's fighting against). He's gonna kill it as Storm Shadow.

It's Golding that needs to do the work.

I hope this isn't an origin story where we don't even see Snake Eyes in costume until the end. That's a lot of his whole appeal.
