I'm willing to give this a shot just because he's acknowledging the skepticism about him in the role. He's looking at it the same way that Chris Evans is approaching Captain America. i.e. 'if I don't take this seriously and pull it off I'm f##$%$%.' (that's paraphrasing Evans himself). And apparently, the test screenings are boding rather well. I'm still skeptical, but it's looking more hopeful that he won't totally screw the pooch with this.

herofreak15 - Would you say the same thing if the Superman reboot was to star Jim Carrey and was to be a comedy? HELL NO! The Green Hornet is NOT supposed to be funny!

You know, many actors have disenganged themselves from their prior roles and reinvented themselves. I say give Rogan a chance. If he screws if up on his own then it's on him. Remember Depp was the first guy to die in the first Elm Street flick. Look how he turned out.

It's funny how evrybody thinks of the Green Hornet from the 60's tv show.
I don't know if the GH creator, Fran Striker, is still alive, but originally wrote the GH Radio series and books back in the mid 1930's as a hardcore vigilante, and the great-nephew of the Lone Ranger. But seeing as how different companies own the rights to each now, I doubt they will ever connect them.

But as to this movie...PASS!!!! The way Rogen's character is written is an insult to the Green Hornet.
