Kato Casting Complete - Jay Chou Joins The Green Hornet

Confirmation has come in via Columbia Pictures that Taiwanese actor Jay Chou has been cast as Kato in Seth Rogen's The Green Hornet. Stephen Chow was previously attached to play the role that was originated by Bruce Lee.

To each's own but to me, The Shadow is such a better character in every way, shape or form that i'm willing to believe that The Shadow movie will be better than The Green Rogen.

Very true. But I believe Bruce Lee would have want his Kato character-- and the Green Hornet-- to be relevant in this generation.

He does look like Zach Efron! Actually like most young Chinese actors nowadays all look like Zack. Most of them sport the same hairdo.

The guy's name is Mako. He was the voice of Splinter (Teenage Mutant turles) and he was the Admiral in Pear Harbor movie 2001. You love him in "Sand Pebbles" starring Steve MacQueen where he was nominated for Best Supporting actor.

Of course, he knows how to fight, DA. He's not like your typical Hollywood actor who can't look convincing when fighting on screen. He has starred in a few martial arts movies and is quite good. Stop being ignorant just because an actor isn't featured in the US. Look it up.

I'd rather see someone else take the role, but he'll do fine.
