Britt Reid is the son of LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene – until his father mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato, they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. But in order to do this, they decide to become criminals themselves – protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets. Using all his ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimate in advanced retro weaponry, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower. Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato’s clever gadgets, The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt’s new secretary, Lenore Case, they begin hunting down the man who controls LA’s gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky. But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all.

The Green Hornet is set to be released in 3D on January 14, 2011!

Lansdowne5: I agree! I thought the trailers were excellent (but as we know from plenty of other movies, it's easy to make a shitty film look great in a two and a half minute trailer) but these clips have me even more convinced of how excellent The Green Hornet will be! Should be a fantastic way to kick off CBM's in 2011.

I watched a screening last week. If you're looking for a true to form Green Hornet film...Save your money. There's about 15 minutes where Rogen comes off as a believable GH. The action is done well, but the typical Rogen comedy overshadows everything.
But what would you expect. Rogen wrote the story.
I'm just glad I didn't have to pay for the ticket:)

Green Hornet is not supposed to be hilarious. Rogen looks to be the normal dorky Rogen which does not bode well for my taste having grown up watching the Green Hornet. I have felt that it is going to come across that way and from what CBArtist says, it pretty much delivers that. Rental at best for me.

SPOILER WARNING!!!

I had my doubts about the film when I heard Rogen was involved. He confirmed them.

If you are a fan of GH. like myself, I recommend viewing this more as a "parody". Especially during a scene that caused me to give a vicious facepalm to...The scene has Kato and The Green Hornet driving around LA singing along to Gangsta's Paradise with The Green Hornet rapping and Kato doing the singing.

movie looks awesome and is the [frick]ing 21 century who gives a shit if is different from the show a little bit or comic just enjoy the [frick]ing movie and dont think about if it aint as the show or comic it will be wack just enjoy what you get and move on from there and fans stop winning cause im tired of all the winning in this website for a comicbook that are just drawings and words written to each character.
