Angela Bassett joins the cast of Warner Bros.' "Green Lantern" opposite Ryan Reynolds, Peter Sarsgaard and Mark Strong. She will play Dr. Amanda Waller, a scientist who's a staple of the DC Comics series.
Shooting recently started in New Orleans with Donald De Line producing and Martin Campbell directing. Greg Berlanti is also producing and wrote the script with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green Michael Goldenberg rewrote the script.
Bassett is planning to make her feature directorial debut with "United States," based on the novel "Erasure" by Percival Everett adapted by Dwayne Johnson-Cochran for Bassett Vance Prods. Bassett is also producing with Johnson-Cochran and Courtney B. Vance.
