Speaking to Contact Music, the actress behind Carol Ferris - Blake Lively, says that she'll more than likely reprise the role in any potential sequel to next week's Green Lantern, talking about the relationship between her character and Hal Jordan. She also talks yet again about Carol's evil alter ego, Star Sapphire, possibly appearing in a Green Lantern sequel, more or less confirming the likelihood.

On the relationship between Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris...
Carol is a very strong woman. I really appreciated not being the damsel in distress. She has this relationship with Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds), they're each other's first love.


On the possibility of Star Sapphire appearing in a sequel...
If we did a few more films, I'm pretty confident Star Sapphire would show up.

i want the role recast,she from all the clips we've seen is the weak link of the film.

the role should of gone to evangline lilly of lost & the hurt locker fame.

sinestro & the manhunters would be awesome sequel.

then the third film,the green lantern corp vs the sinestro corp.

otherside: My point is that these statements stopped being newsworthy around the 5th time she spit them out. Just because an actor in a CBM speaks doesn't mean it should be reported.

I really want this to get a sequel, but i could care less about Star with Blake as the character. I really hope this movie brings the Epic like they say instead of just using the word freely.

otherside: No, it's not news, not in any way. It was news 9 months ago when she said it the first time. It is now simply a broken record. As much as you and a few others tend to think the same thing over and over and over is news, quite simply, it's not. I almost deleted this when I first read it as simply being previously reported (many times) because as an Editor that's one of the things I am supposed to do. Instead I thought I would mention that it has been reported (many times) in the article itself and give Paul the opportunity to delete it himself if he chose to. If he didn't, the comment may at least make him more "aware" of what he is reporting in the future.

I myself am guilty of "re-posting" news on the site as it is impossible to read every bit posted here. When I do find out I have done so, I delete it. End of story.

Get over yourself.

@Hawks i understand what you're saying and i agree in a way if possible i think we shouldn't report it if they say the same thing okay i agree with that... but i'd rather have a few articles that are old news than only get official stuff like a trailer or something like superherohype or comicbookresources do... i'm not disagreeing with you just i'd like you to understand if we don't get some articles like this then we won't be comicbookmovie.com... we'll just be like superherohype etc.

@Hawks i really understand but what i'm talking about was that we use to die for news on CBMs but never got it now we are complaining it's too much just because they said it again? i agree we should try our best not to do it... ok and i agree with your comment to watch it... so we agree but i'm just saying that it's a small price to pay when we get so much good from this site... and i think that if we keep complaining that it's going to make it too hard for the little guys...
