Following yesterdays announcement of 10 more Reboot titles and the creative teams behind them yesterday, DC have announced that 4 Green Lantern Titles will be hitting shelves, via their blog which you can check out HERE . More details are on the blog but once again in brief these are the titles revealed:

GREEN LANTERN #1 - Written by Geoff Johns with art by Doug Mahnke and Christian Alamy. Cover to issue #1 by Ivan Reis and Joe Prado.

GREEN LANTERN CORPS #1 - Written by Peter J. Tomasi with art by Fernando Pasarin and Scott Hanna. Cover to issue #1 is by Doug Mahnke and Christian Alamy.

GREEN LANTERN: THE NEW GUARDIANS #1 - Written by Tony Bedard with art by Tyler Kirkham and Batt. Cover to issue #1 is by Tyler Kirkham and Batt.

RED LANTERNS #1 -Written by Peter Milligan with art by Ed Benes and Rob Hunter. Cover to issue #1 by Ed Benes and Rob Hunter

Unlike the other 10 titles announced, there has been no cover art revealed as of yet, but DC have released an awesome promo image by Dave Johnson that you can check out below!

So why so many Green Lantern titles? And what role Hal Jordan will play in all of this? No further details have been announced yet, but in an interview with The Associated Press, Geoff Johns commented:

"(If) I didn't think I had a great idea for Green Lantern, I wouldn't have relaunched the book. I would move on if I didn't think I had a great plan for it."

"It's building off the Green Lantern stories I've done since 'Rebirth, taking it in a very new direction that we've never seen in 'Green Lantern' before"

Brilliant! My Green Lantern collection just got more expensive ;-) I'll pick up all of the above. I'm guessing 'Emerald Warriors' will continue?

I'm just wondering where the 'New Guardians' will go from here. Clearly an indication of where 'War Of The Green Lantern's will lead

Hmm... The GL books are the only DC titles I've had any interest in the last few years. I'll be glad to get more goodness, as long as they don't spread it too thin. Now just replace Mahnke with Ivan Reis on the central title...

So it's not a reboot?

I mean, obviously it's a reboot, but it's not starting from scartch if it's relying on the story points that have been established already in the pre-flashpoint universe. DC pussies out again. Which means they'll only have to reboot again in another 5 or 10 years. They've been doing this since Crisis, in '85. They're not gonna fix their universe if they keep doing a half-assed job of it. I've suddenly lost all interest in Flashpoint. Call me when the next reboot happens.

@Gusto- What was that? I dont understand crazy old man...

@DukeAcureds - Well you can really know the extent of this 'relaunch' until after Flashpoint anyway. I have a feeling this is going to be pretty full scale especially with the formation of original Justice League, Bruce Waynes Batman suit back to its original design etc. The thing is it would be pretty extreme to undo everything so I guess they'll be working certain aspects out gradually
