On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary and Mary from Smalltown, US, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10-million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit the Frog reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate.

Kermit Corps FTW and seriously its not easy being a green super hero Green Hornet got murdered by critics, wasn't exactly a smash hit, Green Lantern is getting murdered as well by the critics but who knows how well or not it does in the box office. I can't actually wait for the Muppet's.

There's no difference between dressing Kermit as Green Lantern and having him wallow in a pile of shit.

I love Kermit and question alligning with Green Lantern to some extenet. However, with the recent reviews from certain critics I see this more as Kermit, being the lovable green frog he is, taking a stand for his fellow green movie stars.

Maybe we'll see a preview for Muppets at the front of Green Lantern. That could be the reason their is a connection here. I hope we see a parody of Capt America in a couple weeks featuring Sam the Eagle as Cap, Rizzo as Bucky, Fozzy as Dum Dum Dugan and so on.

I'm surprised nobody has done Kermit as GL before. Cool stuff! Thanks for sharing this.

Looking forward to seeing Green Lantern sometime next week (I seldom go to a movie opening weekend- costs too much and too damn crowded). I'm looking forward to seeing what people here have to say about the movie (though I'll probably avoid spoilers).

They need to bring back the muppet show again. It was such a cool ass show with awesome guests. I think it could easily work if they dropped some of the lamer jokes and made it a bit more edgy. It couldn't be any worse than anything out there right now. Definitely an original show of it's time.
