Terrible story. The creative teams have gotten better since then, but this is just awful

It's only the second or third time I've been first- you'd think it's all "hey Act like you've been here before" but it's still... Y know - exciting

It would have been vanity to have notes prepared for "first" but I guess now I would have been better off.

But then the stream of consciousness posts work too. Organic.
Like a David lynch movie.

And Ryan gosling for Hal

How about Martin Lawrence for John Stewart. Hal can be Al Pacino.

Gusto thinks that the best actor for Hal Jordan is Martin Landau.

Gusto, I also would take Mia Hamm any day over Debbie Reynolds.

I actually agree with Gusto.

James Purefoy.

However, I also would select James Purefoy for ANY role aside from that of Princess Leia.

Reynolds sucked as Hal. since when was Hal Jordan a smarmy jokey jokester frat boy...
CombatWombat
CombatWombat - 6/2/2014, 4:29 PM
who throws a hissy fit and quits when the going gets rough
then again that's the script's fault
AlternateNo4
AlternateNo4 - 6/2/2014, 4:31 PM
well, since always kinda.

the problem was that he ISN'T a hesitant, whiny, self-doubting quitter... and that's the writer and director's fault. that's the reason that even a lot of us GL diehards were ok with reynolds. better script, better movie.

i couldn't stand the pouffy hair though. not sure why that had to happen.

I think of Hal Jordan as the no nonsense military guy…he's sarcastic sure, but not a clown. A ladies man, sure, not that he'd boast about it…he hides his vulnerable side, not that he doesn't have a heart…he's Chuck Yeager with super powers
CombatWombat
CombatWombat - 6/2/2014, 5:47 PM

bam, Hal Jordan
AlternateNo4
AlternateNo4 - 6/2/2014, 7:09 PM
to me, stewart is the serious, no-nonsense military-guy that's now a dull white-collar office stiff. hal's a joker... maybe not the constant goofy one-liner guy like barry, but more of a cocky put-down artist: snide, sarcastic, uber full of himself. and gardner is the clowning, thuggish alpha douchebag bro that i wish other people hated as much as i do haha.

guess it's just individual interpretation.

Chace Crawford, Matt Lanter, Luke Evans or Chris Pine for Hal Jordan.
