While we once heard that David Goyer would be taking the helm of Green Lantern Corps, it's since been reported that Mission: Impossible - Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie passed on the opportunity to take charge of the long-delayed DC Comics adaptation. As a result, the movie's status is something of a mystery but a new rumour points to Warner Bros. already thinking about casting.

Apparently, the studio is hoping to find someone in their late 20s or early 30s to take on the role of John Stewart, a fan-favourite character whose big screen debut has been rumoured for years now.

This news comes after Black Panther star Sterling K. Brown revealed that he's interested in the role. He's 42-years-old, though, and this claim also puts the likes of Idris Elba and Tyrese Gibson out of the running (in the case of the latter, that's no bad thing). Based on this information, who would you like to see play the character in Green Lantern Corps? As always, share your thoughts in the usual place.
