NOLA.com is reporting that a section of Lake Road in Madisonville, LA, will be closed intermittently between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday, April 9th. The closure will be located from Mabel Drive south to Lake Pontchartrain in the vicinity of the "high bridge."

Warner Bros stunt crews will be on location that day to run tests with a stunt car for a yet to be disclosed scene. Last month, the crews ran test at the same location for what appears to be the same scene; which could mean this is the final testing being done before the scene is put on film.

Supervising location manager, Bill Doyle, revealed that Green Lantern will be shot entirely in the New Orleans area through August.

@Multi I'm about 90% sure this what they're doing there. One of those two scenes. Those are the only ones I can think of that they would involve this set of circumstances. . .

I don't think I'd believe a GL article on here if it wasn't posted by Poni.

They gonna give you a cameo for all this positive press? HhahahahH they should throw you a "one liner" bit part at least. Like the black guy in Top Gun :)

I don't understand why some people take it for granted that just because they have rings they don't have to worry about any other means of transportation. The rings drain of their energy, so a GL would want to save their energy for when it is necessary (fighting & emergencies). That's why they should use spaceships, cars and other modes of transportation. It's not like they are like Superman and can just fly all the time without losing their power and energy.

to me it's 90% on the Emerald Dawn scene where Hal is Drunk and 80% on the ring relocating the car to Abin Sur's Crash site.

Ranger: interesting point. Besides, there are times when Hal is wanting to do things as Hal, so he certainly would need a mode of transportation. Hey, most superheroes take a little "down time" once in a while!

Multi: So they're going to be shooting here through August? Cool! Please keep us updated on changes in set locations.
