I will make this review SPOILER FREE. Went to see GREEN LANTERN last night and even though I'm more of a MARVEL fan and GL was never on the top of my list of DC heroes, IT ROCKED!!!!! My goodness, the special effects were amazing and the costumes looked even better! These people out there that are bashing the movie must not have seen the Justice League movie from 2001. Even though it was never aired there are plenty of bootleg copies out there. For those who say that Green Lantern is a great movie for 15 years ago, PLEASE listen to what you're saying! Take a good look at the photos from the never released movie and tell me that comic book movies have not come a long way!

Ryan Reynolds played the part just as good as anyone could have. The entire casting overall I thought was great! The main villain's effects could have been a little more realistic but I can forgive that due to the complexity of it. The things that the ring creates are awesome and at times humorous. To me the movie had a great mix of drama, comedy, and action. All the members of the corps were fantastic especially Sinestro. The guardians in my opinion could've looked a little bit better but what the heck, its a movie!!

Being someone who grew up in the late 60's & early 70's, seeing characters like this for the first time on the big screen is a dream come true! I always wished for the time to come when all of the comic book heroes could come to life thrill us comic book fans and that time is now. It can only get better!
