i still stick by my veiws, the cgi needs work done to it,the costume change could be better, parallax in the first film is too soon, blake lively is terrible casting from that clip, she's alright for the small screen not good enough for the big screen.

don't get me wrong i want the green lantern to be great, but at the moment it looks alright.

Deadpool, she has already done a great job on the big screen in The Town. She did seem a bit off it this clip but its far too little exposure to tell.

I say again, I have no problem with the cgi really. I'm sure it will all look great in context when you are watching the whole movie. I do have issue with that ridiculous apartment scene. What the [frick] is this? National Lampoon's Super Hero House? Yes I know, that scene is also out of context. But I'm having trouble seeing how it would fit well in the movie anywhere! I have no problem with Hal being a wise ass, and humour should be present, but that wasn't funny. It was stupid.

Wow man I didn't notice how much it was off, but it looks so much better, even more so with the shading ya added, when you edited it. Yeah they better fix that too.

Seems to me as though IGN didn't give a shit. Disappointing. It'd be cool if they did a director commentary like they did with Jon Favreau on Cowboys and Aliens... maybe they could give the teaser more context and give us an idea how far the CG as yet to go.

You know, about the "wise ass" part of the character people are worried about... Reynolds did mention, and I quote: "[...] that Jordan was a cocky test pilot who receives this awesome responsibility, which deeply humbles him. This character arc is what he found most interesting, and one of the things that drew him to the role." I think what we're seeing is mostly pre-ring wise assery. But I could be wrong, hope I'm not.

@brazilianbatman
Why?? Are you talking about Iron Man?
U realise this column's about Green Lantern, right?

I do think the cgi still needs tweaking, but the flicks
in post-pro right now. In the case of this movie, will
be all the cgi work & most the movie.

@Rorshach - "What the [frick] is this? National Lampoon's Super Hero House?"

lol, fortunately it's only like 10 seconds long, so maybe it's a minute or two of a scene.

Man that's an eye opening breakdown, I had not noticed a couple things.

Looks like it's probably going to be great.

@Anil That's exactly what I;m thinking; we got all that in 3 minutes. so theres an hour and 20 at least left. Also watched Smokin' Aces yesterday, had not seen it yet. Another great serious role for Reynolds with only glints of comedy. And in listening to that commentary: the director (think it's the guy who directed Constantine) says "people with comic genius sense are usually the best dramatic actors, because they have the entire range. I think this is probably pretty true. Robin Williams, and Jim Carey are perfect examples. I wouldn't worry about it.

why is this being commentated by two people, who don't even have a script to comment with, for the footage you are looking at

@ThePhantom832 It's an IGN thing. The guys do really a pretty good job and is pretty credible within the industry. That's a sort of coveted job you know.

I don't even know how people are saying that the belt scene and showing off the suit scene are supposed to be comedy. I highly doubt those scenes are meant to make people laugh. Hal just became a GL and is showing off his suit to his best friend while being excited about it. What is so terrible about that? Its not comedy, the audience will not bust up laughing at that or the belt. "Let's take off these pants and go fly some planes" is just Hal being Hal, that's it. You will be sitting there in the theater and that line will pass by and no one will think anything about it. As for Blake and her robotic line delivery, do you really think Martin Campbell would let the line come out like that unless there was a reason? The whole discussion about this movie has been nothing but a retarded bitch fest.

That pic up there with the different makes does look way better though.

What is bad about it, is that he's a grown up and has a best friend. The whole idea of him having a best friend is just dumb, imho

@Anthony3 Damn straight! This isn't The Dark Knight, this is Green Lantern Hal Jordan we're talking about: Han Solo of DC! I can't remember who it was that posted some pictures in the comments section of the teaser article that depicted Hal and his cocky attitude, supporting quite effectively your point :)

the best friend is Tom Kalmaku who is a vital part of hal jordans life,so it is not stupid he has a best friend and if you had gotten an alien ring, wouldnt you be excited?
