"'Green Lantern' wasn't," Lively told MTV News when asked whether it was a superhero movie she was desperate to star in.

"I didn't know about 'Green Lantern.' That's what's so exciting about it. I was just saying, you know, to get to introduce it to a young generation is a cool thing."

"My nephews, when I brought them to set, I had them put on the ring, and they were like, 'Oh, this is cool,' and I thought, 'In a year from now you're gonna be so happy that I made you take this picture.'"

"Doing a superhero picture is something that just seems like so much fun, and it really was!"

Now i don't know if we'll ever see Kyle Rayner in an upcomming GL film but if we do... don't hate me but uh... if Kyle is supposed to be somewhat hispanic and younger than the other human lanterns, Taylor Lautner could actually pull it off. Sure he's got some ways to go talent wise but as young actors go... he's not half as bad as people make him out to be. It's not his fault that he's part of the shittiest franchise ever created after all. That unfortunitelly doesn't help his rep.

He has similar looks to Kyle but like everyone else has stated he is from Twilight and Twilight likes to see homoes nekkid. From what i've read on interviews the other Lanterns from earth Guy, John and Kyle will be in 2nd and/or 3rd movie.

The funny thing is that Blake Lively CAN act that's what makes her different from Taylor Lautner.People tend to only talk bad about her acting because they either

1. Watched an episode of the horribly written show "Gossip Girl"

2. Watched Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants

3. Never watched any of her work at all and they're just bashing on her because they see everyone else doing it.

I have seen her most obscure work and she shows talent in those indy films.She also had a fun performance in Accepted. I don't know if she can pull off this character or not but I'd be lying if I said I thought she was talentless. Hell she had to audition twice for her role in "The Town" because the first time the casting people said she was too young to play the character named "Krista" because the character was in her thirties and then she auditioned again in front of Ben Affleck himself,whom didn't know anything about Lively or her show "Gossip Girl" prior to casting her. So,if Ben Affleck(who has found success as a director with his film "Gone Baby Gone") can put Blake Lively in a film with actors like Jon Hamm and Jeremy Renner based on her talent,why can't Martin Campbell cast her based on her talent as well?

Blake not knowing anything about Green Lantern, gee I didnt see that coming, thats as equivelant as the Cubs winning the World Series or the Lions winning the Super Bowl.

@tankgirl is right and yes ScarJo is on my celeb To Do List and is also right, if Blake doesnt want to wear the suit, makes you wonder why she took the part?

@Joshw Yeah DC didnt go for Talent, look at Thor, they got Natalie Portman and OSCAR nominated actress AND they got a girl who FIT the part of Sif in Jaimie Alexander, while DC went way off course and went with someone from one of their TV shows that doesnt LOOK or FIT the Carol part

Nah dude, Chris is one of the rare types of young good actors, who has that heroic vibe. Channing Twatum is no where near Chris. Sam Worthless is the Channing Twatum 2.0 jus like the Twilight pathetics like Robert Pattycakes and Taylor Loser.
