Lots of 'concept art' flying around right now, including that weird Travolta-Sinestro thing. So here's what Mark Strong might look like as a proper old school Sinestro.

Sinestro - Mark Strong


So there he is - a proper pink version of Mark Strong in the original old-school costume. OK, so in the movie Sinestro HAS to be introduced as a good guy and might not even go bad until a sequel (please, let there be a sequel!). So he should probably be wearing the green and black Corps costume, but hey.

Incidentally, the film makers have a couple of serious problems with Sinestro.

1) Characters with goatee beards or moustaches are ALWAYS wrong-uns.

2) He's called 'Sinestro'.

It'll be interesting to see how they handle the good-guy, bad-guy thing.

I hope they make it less classic-bigheaded-Sinestro, and more GL ongoing not-so-big headed Sinestro. The big head just looks damn goofy.

Thumbs up, but i don't think we'll be seeing the blue & black outfit ever on screen, just the Green Lantern one an maybe later, the yellow one!

I've always thought it would be funny if Hal made a joke to the Guardians about his name. Something like "Who would have thought a guy with a name like 'Sinestro' would turn out to be so sinister? Then they would all just stare at him unamused.

I'll be taking bets on how long it takes for someone to post that demotivational poster about how stupid the guardians must have been to give a power ring to someone named Sinestro...

Personally, though, I wouldn't mind a nod to the blue and black costume--like when Sinestro isn't in his Green uniform, his "civilian" clothes could look something like that.

I don't care if they called him frank. This movie will be a good one and second only to The Dark Knight in the DC universe.

Yeah, Sinestro should have a head that is at least a little taller than a normal human head. If they make it too tall then they're going to lose the audience. I mean he's an alien, right? Not a Frankenstein monster. And as for good guy going bad *pshh* that's easy. If there's anything that Hollywood loves most it's stories about the good guys letting their egos run amok and then start becoming sinister.

I like this much better. Its funny I thought that the other Sinestro concept looked like John Travolta as well.

Hm. It would be so awesome if it'll be more or less like Training Day, but with Hal Jordan being assigned to work with and receive training from Sinestro.
