GREEN LANTERN IS TAINTED:THE PROBLEM OF A GREEN LANTERN IN THE JUSTICE LEAGUE

Green Lantern  is a DC character very rich in history and a very important and primodial part of the Justice League and other multiple Super hero team up groups of history like The Justice Soceity of America , From Kyle Rayner in the 90's(Comics) to John Stewart in the early 200o's(JL/JLU Animated series) and even other like Guy Gardner, Simon Baz,  Alan Scot & others but most of them have seen very little of the spotlight with some only appearing once or twice in any way outside of the comics most notable John & Guy have the ones most featured on the outside by plae in comparison to the multiple times Jordan has been shown to be the face of the Green lantern mantel with but at least all having been involved but we all know that the main Green Lantern of history is HAL JORDAN, Mister Jordan has been featured in at least 2 Solo Animated movies and has been a part of more than 5 animated team movies with the Justice League but the tragedy comes now, with geoff Johns working his ass off in the comics to not only revive Hal but to give him one of the BEST and endless galery of stories and villains the 2011 Movie happen and while I personally enjoy a few elements of it there is not deniying that the film is a bomb and ever since has tainted the Image of Hal Jordan for the public and for the fans.

Now with that out of the way we must look foward to the problem, to the joy of many the Justice League is coming soon to the DC Cinematic universe now many question WHEN but that is not the correct thing to ask here we all need to be asked WHO is the Justice League?! who will be in the line up and WHY are they in the JL so let's soon get to that.

Before I dig into the league I want to give a better explaination of WHY Green Lantern MUST NOT Be a part of the team, IF they put in Kyle it would be off tone as Kyle is likely the 3rd or 4th popular Lantern and here the only 2 real candidates as JOHN STEWART and HAL JORDAN now with Hal's popularity in comics but his shame in the big screen I think that if he was added to the JL and even played by a different actor it would DAMAGE the reputation of the movie , now John can be played by a handsome black fellow ([frick] ANYONE WHO HAS EVER FAN CASTED JOHN AS IDRIS ELBA MORONS BUY A BRAIN!) even still the NAME GREEN LANTERN would haunt him and the movie, a GL movie should not be done for at least 10 years honestly and while it makes me a sad comic fan knowing that we won't see the Coprs or any of the rings or villains of GL incorporated in the JL it's only for the best as the brand grows he will see have a chance again!.  Now that we explained why GL is out of the Justice League we can now focus on WHO should replace Green Lantern in the Team for their live action historic debut.

REPLACING GREEN LANTERN!

Now here comes the WHO is in the JUSTICE LEAGUE QUESTION! we already know once the events of BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE are past we will have the established that The Caped Crusader Batman (Bruce Wayne), The Man of Steel Superman (Clark Kent), The Amazonian Warrior Wonder Woman (Diana Princee), The Tech Titan Cyborg (Victor Stone) are in it. the very strong rumor is that The King of Atlantis Aquaman (Arthur Curry) is also in so let's put that in there we have now, a gran total of 5 Members of the Justice League team and one could argue that it looks like the new 52 incarnation of the team but like history has always showed the Justice League conforms of 7 Heros so that means that if we have 5 we still need 2 more members to finish up the team so let's put on our thinking caps and get ready as we fire up the comments section because part one of this editorial is done!

Join me soon as I post part 2 and take a look at multiple potential condidates who merit to fill those 2 last sposts on the Justice League team along with a why they should be in it along with the cons of them being in it and give a very stong NO to those who are not to even get within 10 feet of the team with a little explaniation as to the why also.

SPECIAL THANK YOU TO: MY GIRL ( J ), JAMES MAN, BRAINIAC13, DARKTOWER, NEIHOFFT, ALTERNATENO4, MCGEE, JOSHUAGRAHAM, SINSEAR912, SUPES123,THEDARKKRYPTONIAN, DIAMONDZ, DOOPIE, JFERGUSON, JILLYMCBEAM, METROPOLISMAN, MIGHTHY ZEUS, MRSTARLORD, PSYCHOMANIACJACKY, SAPACH, TDKRETURNS AND THEREDDESTHOOD.

Green Lantern would be fine in a Justice League movie, if they make him good enough in that he'll be fine for a spin-off.

You know you've been well 'n' truly inundated into the community of this site when you're thanking Jacky for shit. I thanked him once... Everything went downhill from there. Still, go ahead and thank people, but I think hurling insults at someone might make the thanks seem a little empty.

You know who i would like as Green Lantern on The Justice League. Kyle Rayner. He's a cartoonist and his constructs are way better than Hal's or any other Green Lantern members of the team.

@MightyZeus he is a good GL I like Stewart and him more than Guy & Hal. Baz I'm still on the fence about.

John Stewart should never break film, why? Because he's a bland frick, all those who like him like him because of the animated series only. I say start with Hal or Kyle, I'd say Guy but I think he's better as a supporting character.

Well, Hulk was still in the Avengers and he had two bad results previously - not saying bad movies, but critically and finically, both were under expectations - this didn't seem to do Avengers any damage, in fact Hulk came out shining.

Green Lantern should be in, and I would have Jon Stewart.

if green lantern is done properly , it could b a major success for WB/DC..
But the gl movie we got was just poorly written .. no problems wid Ryan only the writing...
Think instead of parallax , they could ha introduced Darksied and shown some intergalactic adventure,.
could hav been a grt start for DCCU..

I agree with many of you on the include Hal part but I also see that it could benefit him being involved Later on, IMO I rather see Magic introduced first with Shazam, but if the recast Hal it could work very good, specially since I want the new 52 origin of the JL with a little changed details

I think that they should either treat the 2011 Green Lantern film like Marvel Studios treated Hulk (i.e. move on from the origin story with a new cast) or just disregard it altogether. Best case scenario, most people forget about it entirely.

As far as which Green Lantern to use, if they go with John Stewart--which would be great from a diversity standpoint--I would just tweak/reinterpret him to be a more interesting character. That may be heretical, but it could be an effective tactic relative to the Justice League in live action.

Or bring back a different actor as Hal Jordan. I assume that GL is going to appear in the rumored 'Green Lantern/Flash' film, so maybe Hal is a better choice for that duo. But not played by Ryan Reynolds.

Personally, I'd like to see them do John Stewart. Not comic book John Stewart, DCAU (JLU) John Stewart.

And I'd cast CHadwick Boseman (42) to play John Stewart.

And if there's a GL/Flash team up movie, I think they should have Wally West flash (DCAU version). I still believe its pointless to have TWO active interpretations of Barry Allen.

Plus, Wally West would be a comedic relief character in this Dark/Serious toned universe.

@mightyzeus seriously Kyle rayner would be visually most interesting due to being an artist and is the best gl at making constructs more relatable because he is younger and more interesting because if they took Kyle while he was just starting he would be the only lantern left. It's all much more interesting then a guy whose dad dies so he flies planes to prove he isn't scared. John is not an interesting lantern although he is a good lantern he just doesn't have the personality. Guy has too much and may prove unlikable, Hal already tried once and failed at the box office and with critics, tell the story of the last lantern it just makes sense.
