Tons Of Action Packed New Footage In Latest Green Lantern TV Spot!

Featuring many new scenes between Ryan Reynolds' Hal Jordan and Blake Lively's Carol Ferris, the latest TV spot also features some minor spoilers as we see Hector Hammond using his powers...

Hal Jordan is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax...he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

With an all star cast which includes Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Mark Strong as Sinestro, director Martin Campbell's Green Lantern is set to be released in 3D on June 17, later this month!

Dude but it looks SO GOOD!?? man something rly must be bad with this film

blueorangeny - 6/16/2011, 8:38 AM
nah I doubt it's someone who is bad. It's the time allotted for the film. It should have been 2 hours or more so it could receive explanation. It seems the fan boys say not enough time, you rarely see the corps, sinestro just gives speeches, etc etc and the non fan boys are just left what this or that meant since they have no idea about the character. It's not the cgi, visual, actors, its just too short of a movie so its crammed.

lol, I'm also seeing and voice my honest opinion. I'm a fan of comics and hope both do well, naturally I'm bleed DC but still. And after reading the few comments I just think it's the time for the movie. It needed to be at least 2 hours. I see a sequel in the future.

i don't know about the critics but the tv spots, trailers for this has been awesome,so far the best out of all superhero movies and this looks like a very entertaining fun movie, something summer movies should also have.

n in imdb plenty of user reviews can be found which are very positive so i will watch this in 3D becoz so many have praised the 3D of this film.

in brightest day and blackest night no evil shall escape my sight, let those who worship critics might beware my power green lanterns light :)

I agree the trailers and clips are too good. I have no idea how this film could be so bad as per the critics.
Ceejay
Ceejay - 6/16/2011, 9:31 AM
@marvel72 - How could it be worse? All those films cost half of the budget they put into Green Lantern and nearly all of those films are crap if not utter crap!

I am still going to see this at midnight, don't care what critics think. All they care about is films like the Kings Speech. This wasn't made for them, it was made for us!

Yes, finally! good marketing!
it's better they promote the more human/earth side of it, since Oa is it's special effects weakness IMO.

It isnt the % that really matters on RT its the average rating. Ive seen 33%s on there and the average rating was 6/10. It stands at 4.5/10 which is generally a C (mediocre) revenge of the fallen and g.i joe had average ratings below 4/10. Yeah...GL may not be getting food reviews but they seem better than a lot of other movies

@SuspenseSmith
Just remember though, the film actually opens tomorrow, GL's number could go up or down, so this isn't a final verdict. Bad reviews or not, I'm there tomorrow night!

Roger Ebert, the only film critic I sort of respect, gave it 2 and a half, the same as he gave Xmen fc and said it was better than Thor
therj00
therj00 - 6/16/2011, 11:30 AM
I really want this movie to be better than everyone keeps saying it is, but alot of the problems that keep coming up are related to the cramming of everything into an short movie, so why didn't they make it like 2 hours and 20 minutes, it might have saved this
greenlanter13

Still gonna see it just because I love GL comics and judge for my self. Does anyone know if we get a cap trailer this week

I still cant believe that this movie sucks. I mean the 2nd trailer and recent tv spots make the movie look all cool. This makes me sad :(

i definately sense a critic/audience schism here. critics not impressed, but tweets and reports from average movie goers or fans of the genre like it. i think its gonna be like pirates, transformers and hangover 2. gonna get mediocre reviews but the target audience will like it. lets hope it does the same numbers as those movies.
