MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT Director Responds to GREEN LANTERN CORPS And MAN OF STEEL 2 Rumors

Christopher McQuarrie has been linked to both the Man of Steel sequel and Green Lantern Corps but would the filmmaker actually be interested in taking the helm of either the DC Comics adaptations?

Earlier this month, Christopher McQuarrie made it clear that he's soured on the idea of helming a superhero movie thanks to toxic fans but it appears as if he's now warmed to the idea. During a recent interview, the Mission: Impossible - Fallout director was asked about possibly reteaming with Henry Cavill for Man of Steel 2 and those rumours that Tom Cruise could take on the role of Hal Jordan.

"To me, I’m interested in a good story," McQuarrie said regarding directing Man of Steel 2. "That’s really what it is. I mean, when Man of Steel came up, it was because somebody had asked me, did I want to work with Henry again? Which I would in a second. I go through the door that opens."

As for the possibility of directing Cruise in a Green Lantern Corps movie, the filmmaker confirmed that they haven't actually discussed the project but it sounds like he's definitely intrigued by the idea.

"You know, I got to say, Tom and I have never talked about it," McQuarrie teased. "We always kind of talk about what we’re working on or what we’re talking about working on next. I think, again, I think if you show them a good story, I think if you showed him a really emotional story, I don’t think, you know, it’s, I can never predict. I can never predict what it is he’s going to be drawn to."

Would you like to see McQuarrie work on either of these DC Comics adaptations? Sound off below.

Read a lot of amazing reviews for FallOut and just makes me want MoS2 with McQuarrie.

Look at how chilled out Cavill is in the video below. Even though I love MoS I would love to see him play a more lighthearted Superman.
