If they can't die in the cancerverse just kill Nova and let him respawn...wait never mind they come back naked...no Nova force for him.

This Cancerverse storyline (it's a very loose tie-in to Original Sin) started in Guardians of the Galaxy #18, as a continuation of the Thanos Imperative.

The Cancerverse is a place where life defeated death, meaning nothing there can never die as death has no meaning.

@kevberg eternal life is a cancer amongst the universe, which is part of what you see there. With Death being dead in that reality, nothing dies (which is bad because everything will over populate and all hell breaks loose).

Bendis has been saying for years that he knew exactly what happened and he would tell the story eventually. He's a lousy liar. Marvel said "We want to push this new kid Nova; come up with some way to get rid of Rider for a while," and he complied like a good minion.
