GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Keyframes Reveal Comic Accurate Designs And A Deleted Scene With Eternity's Son

In this rarely seen batch of keyframe concept art from Guardians of the Galaxy, key moments like the final battle, Groot's death, Thanos' meeting with Ronan, and classic costumes are given the spotlight...

Before Guardians of the Galaxy was released, Star-Lord and company were definitely considered an obscure bunch of characters even by the most hardcore comic book fans. That all changed in 2014, though, and the movie changed the landscape of the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever.

Now, we've rounded up some keyframe concept art from the movie and as well as putting the spotlight on pretty much every major moment, we also get to see a deleted scene featuring Entropy, a character you may remember as the son of Eternity who has most often worked alongside Genis-Vell. There are also some interesting alternate designs for the Guardians.

Throw in artwork depicting Ronan's meeting with Thanos, the final battle, and the heartbreaking death of Groot, and there's a lot to enjoy in this amazing gallery from the James Gunn helmed release.

So, to check the artwork out, all you guys have to do is click on the "View List" button down below.

A very different look for the Guardians of the Galaxy, you can see the comic book inspirations in their appearances somewhat more clearly in this piece, particularly with Star-Lord, Rocket, and Gamora.

That character unleashing the power of the Power Stone is Entropy. As you may already be aware, he is the son of Eternity and part of a small cosmic pantheon that represents the three essential forces in the birth and death of the universe. While the history of the Infinity Stones was alluded to in Guardians of the Galaxy, it definitely appears as if director James Gunn was going to delve even further into that.

Some great concept art.

With Rocket getting his comic accurate outfit in Endgame, I wonder if the rest of the Guardians will get a different look going forward.

@HeavyMetal4Life - I really hope Quill get his old school blue/red costume and classic helmet when he gets "un-snapped"...

@MODOKsRise - I wish Josh interacted with us more. There may be a method to his madness but he seldom communicates with his readers. He can seem a lot more human and less robotic/by-the-numbers if he just interacted with us. For instance, I've corrected something factually wrong about his articles half a dozen times but he keeps making the exact same errors in future articles. This implies he either doesn't care (which I kinda doubt because I've seen him be defensive), or he simply doesn't read comments

Honestly I think after most heroes Resurrection they will get more accurate costumes so they have their kind of "rebirth"

Some incredible concept art I love the Cosmic side of the MCU and there is so much potential for stories to explore you wouldn't get anywhere else, very hopeful and excited to see Captain Marvel open up the door for more cosmic storylines.

Slow news day when you dig up some concept art for a 2014 movie huh?
Still, that's some nice art.
