Awesome New GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Vol. 2 Theater Standee Leaves A Place Free On The Team For... You!

This must surely be one of the best pieces of movie marketing we've seen in a long time. A new theater standee promoting James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was photographed at an unknown location and sent our way, and as you can see, it features fresh looks at original team members Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Baby Groot, along with new recruits Nebula, Yondu and Mantis.

The coolest part, however, is the free seat between Quill and his former business partner, which allows fans to sit in among the intergalactic A-holes for a Kodak moment.

Again, we're not sure where this was spotted, but keep an eye out for it in your local multiplex over the next few weeks.

Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set to hit theaters on May 5th.

Woah woah woah!

Why does Nebula have normal eyes?! Why aren't they black?!

@SonOfAGif - Nice catch. Maybe the black eyes represented some kind of brainwashing, and she's cured during the movie. It could explain why she starts working with the Guardians.

If my theater has one of these, it'll be the closest I ever get to having my arm around any of those ladies' shoulders.
