Just bought it from iTunes and watched it again. My overall feelings haven't changed all that much a second time.

Watched this movie in 4K today on my computer and it looked amazing! To me, it didn't live up to the first GotG. But at the same time, it wasn't ever expected to. I think it stems from Gunn's slight obsession with Quill's parentage. That aspect really took over the movie and never really allowed the rest of the cast to shine in these already established roles.

That being said, I really enjoyed the movie and didn't have a problem with the humor or some of the other things that I've seen others complain about on this site.

@L0RDbuckethead - Same here.

It will be, without a doubt, very hard to top the predecessor, but even then, Vol 2. is still great in it's own right, and I for one welcome the unique direction Gunn went with Vol 2 (with the whole family relationships motif).

@ThatAlexDude -

Don't get me wrong, the creative direction that Gunn has taken the Guardians has been great. Russell and Pratt have great chemistry and it showed throughout the entire movie. And the way the music (chosen by Gunn) was incorporated throughout the film was on point, more so than the first film.

I was just nitpicking saying Gunn put a bit too much emphasis on Quill's parentage - which was always his plan when writing the film.

Surely, Casey Affleck is kidding here, right?

“I thought he was an okay Batman," [Casey] Affleck joked. "No, he was great. He was great. He’s a hero, so he had something to channel and work with there. But he’s not gonna do that movie, I don’t think.” When the host informed [Casey] Affleck that he just broke some major news, he backtracked a bit saying “Is that breaking news? I was just kind of making that up.”

I'm about to hop on the 4k oled TV train once I grab an Xbox one x. Can anybody tell me. Are any of these marvel movies available on UHD blu ray? There's a surprising dearth of information online about this. I've rewatched civil war 20 times and would watch another 30 times if it was in stupid dumb resolution
