James Gunn Offers Plenty Of New GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Vol. 2 Tidbits
Well, they're really more like hints as he doesn't go into specifics - but during a video interview with fans if Facebook, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 director James Gunn answered questions about the Marvel sequel as best he could, and Adam Warlock's name came up...
During a 50-minute Q&A with fans on Facebook, director James Gunn offered up a few tantalizing teases of what we can expect from Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2.
First off he confirms that casting for the Marvel sequel is almost complete, and that the 10 month shoot would commence in Atlanta in February. Understandably, Gunn doesn't really reveal anything concrete - but when quizzed about the possibility of fan-favourite character Adam Warlock showing up, he doesn't deny it, and states there will be "at least" one new face joining the ranks of the intergalactic A-holes. However, Nova fans will be disappointed, as Peter Quill will be the only "earthling" in the movie.
"I’m not going to give names and I won’t give numbers either, but there will be at least one new character in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. You guys gotta wait and see... Everything’s going to be different in the ‘Infinity Wars.’ I’m a lot more concerned with ‘Vol. 2’ than I am with ‘Infinity Wars.’ The way the movie [’Vol. 2’] is structured and made – it really is a story unto itself. It’s not about leading up to anything else. It’s about the Guardians and their lives."
Gunn is also confident that he'll continue working with Marvel on "Guardians and Guardians-related projects" as long as this upcoming sequel is successful. You can check out the Q&A in full below.
