This month's edition of Empire Magazine is all about Marvel's highly anticipated sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, and the mag has just debuted 3 brand new stills from the film.
There's a group shot with Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Nebula, as well as another pic of the volatile raccoon staring down Yondu. Plus, we get another official glimpse of Kurt Russell as peter Quill's enigmatic father, Ego.
We still don't know for certain if we'll see Ego in his Living Planet form, but director James Gunn does state that the character proved to be "the film’s largest technical challenge." “We have over a trillion polygons on Ego’s planet,” Gunn proudly tells the mag. “It’s the biggest visual effect of all time. There’s nothing even close to it. Which is cool.”
Ego's planet, or Ego the planet? Time will tell. In the meantime, be sure to pick up the latest issue of Empire to find out more.
