Good to know that in the future of the ALIEN universe, mankind has conquered space travel in giant ships, but we're still using 20th century optics like ACOGs on our rifles LMAO.

@WeddingTux -

I wasn't interested in another Alien movie but hot damn Alex Jones just sold me on it!

It actually sounds pretty rad. I was trashing it for the "take off your helmets again" approach but what really intrigues me now is the rumor or 'leak' about what the planet is and what it's designed for. It all makes much more sense. Concepts that Prometheus only toyed with.

Was Alex trying to promote the film or was that accidental?

@Humperdink - I honestly don't know! You can't tell sometimes with Alex being both an entertainer and a conspiracy theorist, but even at the end of the video he starts pimping out this InfoWars-brand coffee, and really makes it sound like I'm missing out on some wicked brew, even though it's 7pm I really wanna drink some coffee now. So Alex as a salesperson, I don't think he'll promote anything but his own firebrand of conservatard, conspiratard nonsense, that's somewhat of a guilty pleasure when he's at his most over the top.

Actually a few years back his info warriors were doing video essays on The Winter Soldier and Days of Future Past, connecting the themes in those movies to stuff in the real world, like what Snowden uncovered with the NSA, and all the collateral damage of drone strikes. But since they reeeeally stretch it with some of these connections, it's more likely they're just using Alien: Covenant as an excuse to market they're ideas to Alien fans.

It seems mutually beneficial, though. It makes the movie sound more interesting and makes Alex's craziness more appealing to normies like us.
