After Praising GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, Al Pacino Says He'd Like To Star In A Marvel Movie
Legendary actor Al Pacino made headlines recently when he described James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy as an, "entertaining, inventive, beautiful film." Now, he's shared more of his thoughts on the movie and also confirms that he'd be up for a role in the sequel or another Marvel Studios movie...
Deadline recently caught up with Al Pacino to ask him more about why he chose to speak out and praise the latest movie from Marvel Studios, James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy. "It was not something I would readily go see, but my kids got me to go, and one has to draw the line at where prejudice starts and where it ends — that was good stuff!" the 74-year-old actor confessed after surprising many by sharing his thoughts on the movie during an appearance at the Venice Film Festival. "I recognized the ingenious stuff they were doing; the invention, the attractiveness of the way they were performing it. It had Shakespearian feeling to it at times. I was caught up in the big screen, the great sound…" As for whether or not Pacino would be interested in starring in either Guardians of the Galaxy 2 or another Marvel Studios movie, the actor remained vague, but is clearly interested! You have to imagine the recent headlines have put him on Kevin Feige's radar, while Gunn has already responded to his comments, so it could happen! "I would do anything that I could understand in terms of how I fit in it. And you know, of course if I could fit in it. Anything’s possible. You know, I did Dick Tracy and I got an Oscar nomination, so come on. I mean, what can I say?" What do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!
