Moviegoers are once again hooked on a feeling as it's been revealed today that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has earned over $500 million worldwide. With a current total of $175.9 million in North America and an $18.7 million global haul yesterday, it currently has a global cume of $501.7 million.
That's an amazing result and it probably won't shock you to learn that China has been its biggest earner overseas with $62.2 million. The movie is guaranteed to pass $600 million this weekend, and while it's been out longer internationally than domestically, it definitely feels like $1 billion is possible.
Whether or not it actually will remains to be seen. Box office analysts have yet to share their thoughts on that, but it's easily going to surpass the first movie and should steadily rise to that number if these figures are any indication.
