MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Movie Is Going To Need A New Director As David S. Goyer Departs

Just when things seemed to be moving forward on Sony's live-action He Man & The Master of The Universe reboot, reports are coming in that director David S. Goyer has decided to step away from the project.

David S. Goyer recently shared some concept designs for Sony's upcoming Masters of The Universe movie to social media, suggesting that things were finally beginning to take shape on the live-action adaptation.

However, Variety now reports that Goyer has decided to step away as director to focus on other projects - though he will remain on board as an executive producer and screenwriter.

Despite Goyer's departure, the studio is said to be very happy with the script he turned in and is currently meeting with potential replacements. All going well, Masters of The Universe will still meet its currently scheduled Dec. 18, 2019 release date.
