The 2017 Cannes Film Festival is now officially underway, and some awesome new sales art for Neil Marshall's upcoming Hellboy reboot has been spotted in the wild. Check it out after the jump.

About a week ago, we brought news that a Hellboy reboot was in the works from The Descent director Neil Marshall, and we now have our first glimpse of some sales art fpr the movie.

The guys over at Bloody Disgusting took a snap of this very cool Hellboy: Rise of The Blood Queen promo poster they spotted while doing the rounds at The Cannes Film festival, which officially got underway this morning. While it's obviously not an official image from the the film (it hasn't even started shooting yet), it does feature some new artwork of the cigar-chomping demon from Hellboy creator Mike Mignola.

Said to be "darker and more gruesome" than Guillermo del Toro’s previous movies, Hellboy: Rise of The Blood Queen is expected to blaze into theaters next year.

the hellboy comic is so extremely dark, i wonder how or if general audience will respond to it :/

@knocturnalzen10 - well given that the movie will probably be low budget like Deadpool and will be rated R, it shouldn't be too hard to break even. Plus, I doubt this will try too hard to please the general audience, it will probably not be a movie that appeals to everybody

Cool! The Russian superhero film "Guardians" will be released in the United States and the UK in digital and DVD respectively.
