It looks like anxious fans will have to wait a little longer to see David Harbour's half-demon hero on the big screen, as the Hellboy reboot from director Neil Marshal has been pushed back three months.
The latest film based on the Mike Mignola creation was originally set to hit theaters on January 11, 2019 but will now premiere on April 12, 2019. As a result of this change, Hellboy will now open alongside the Robert Downey Jr.-led The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle. Also, it pits the R-Rated film against Shazam!, which will fly into theaters the week prior.
No reason was given for the new release date, but January is generally considered a dumping ground for movies, so the move may be a sign that the studio has confidence in the movie.
While Harbour may be the film's lead, Hellboy also stars Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil), Ian McShane (Deadwood) and Daniel Dae Kim (Lost).
