Last week we received word that Blake Lively was the latest actress to be offered the lead in Lionsgate's adaptation of the novel by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith. The likes of Natalie Portman, Emma Stone, Rooney Mara, Scarlett Johansson, and Mia Wasikowska have all passed on the role and now it seems for whatever reason Lively has too.

It could be a reflection on the script or the pretty out there concept which follows the basic premise of Jane Austen's classic story but with added undead flesh eaters. Director Craig Gillespie recently delivered a great mix of horror and comedy with his
Fright Night remake so the property would at least appear to be in good hands. Lets hope Lionsgate find some young, in demand actress to come aboard soon or Gillespie may walk just like the movie's two previous directors David O Russel and Mike White.
