Chloe Moretz Covered In Blood Recreating Iconic Horror Scene For CARRIE

They're All Gonna Laugh at You! The most memorable scene from Brian De Palma's original (1976) is when Carrie White (Sissy Spacek) is at her prom, enjoying a brief moment of bliss until a dousing of pig's blood sends her into a state of mindless rage.

"The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White (Moore) and her daughter Carrie (Moretz). Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin (Greer) tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson (Portia Doubleday, Youth in Revolt), but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell (Gabriella Wilde, The Three Musketeers), regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross (newcomer Ansel Elgort), to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.”

Carrie hits theaters on March 15, 2013.

Chloe is anything but unattractive, they really needed to cast someone a lot more plain looking to make the transition work as effective as DePalma did with Sissy Spacek.

Sissy was creepier. Hope they dont copy this scene by scene. That would suck so bad and would be bad film making.

Sissy Spacek was great casting. She had that 'inbred' look, and it is easy to believe she got picked on. Chloe seems to cute to give off the Carrie vibe, should have cast the girl in the original Let The Right One In, she has a creepier look to her. Definately will give this remake a watch though, love me some Stephen King.

@ ralfinader - agreed, great casting (have you ever seen her in Badlands? different, but VERY cool movie)

Moretz is great, but often hollywood's attempts at "ugly ducklings" are pretty transparent

I thought the 'Let the right one in' remake was ok, - (I've seen the original too) - and she was good in it.

Hopefully optimistic!.

dang. Looks like they are really sticking to the blueprint on this one which is what you really need when your remaking a classic. Very good.

It's gonna be hard for them to top De Palma. The casting isn't really getting my hopes up, but then again, I'm not the biggest fan of Julianne Moore.

If Julianne Moore phones in her Hannibal accent and they show less(gore&nudity)than DePalma did; what's the point? They tried this ten or twelve years ago and I can't remember to what degree it was lambasted.

If Chloe Moretz truly comes off believable as the "shy, awkward" Carrie.., then I still don't see the need for this. I just hope some d-bags(not the actual product) get thrown around a gym violently by Carrie. Maybe she could send an iphone flying into the skull of one of her tormentors. Maybe she can take the spaghetti straps from a girls shirt and send them..., wait a minute: Zapped! To heck with this film they should be rebooting the Scott Baio(?) immortal classic! Yeah!

Zapped! reboot on the way! :D
