Legendary Pictures’ CRIMSON PEAK, a co-production with Universal Pictures, is a haunting gothic horror story directed by the master of dark fairy tales, Guillermo del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy series, Pacific Rim), written by del Toro and Matthew Robbins and starring Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston and Charlie Hunnam. In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds…and remembers. Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, del Toro and Callum Greene produce, and Jillian Share executive produces.

Crimson Peak stars Jessica Chastain, Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, and Charlie Hunnam, and is set to be released on October 16th, 2015.

Happy to see Hiddleston getting more work in bigger movies, the guy deserves it.

I'm not a huge fan of the Gothic vampire ghost horror shit. IDK, maybe I'll watch. And no, Hiddleston isn't enough to make me go.

So, so excited for this. Guillermo del Toro is the man. Based on what's seen in the trailer the film looks absolutely gorgeous (I keep going back to the butterfly wallpaper sequence). Everything that he does is just so visually complex and layered, it's like a painting come to life. In just a minute and a half he's already completely captured my imagination once again.

And much as I'm excited for the film, I'm also dying for the home video release. Guillermo always packs his home releases with tons of bonus content, so I'm sure there will be some really expansive features on the house!

Oh, and Doug Jones is going to be in this!

This looks excellent. Glad to see Del Toro back on his game. Pacific Rim had me doubting him.

This definitely has a Dark Fantasy ghost story feel to it more than a flat out horror film.
