Dan Aykroyd's GHOSTBUSTERS Cameo Revealed?

When we heard that one of the original Ghostbusters, Dan Aykroyd, was going to make an appearance in Paul Feig's reboot, fans hoped it might be as Ray Stantz but it doesn't sound like that's going to be the case. Click on for some possible details on his cameo...

Those hoping this new Ghostbusters flick might exist in the same work as the original might be in for some disappointment if the following report from Indie Revolver is accurate. Paul Feig's reboot has been shooting in Boston for a few weeks, and the site reckon they've found out the details of Dan Aykroyd's (Ray in the original movies) cameo, which he is said to have shot last night.

According to them, Aykroyd will be playing the driver of a cab Kristen Wiig's character attempts to hail. Apparently "Aykroyd throws out the iconic line, “I ain’t afraid of no ghosts.” And drives away with Wiig yelling something along the lines of “That’s a double negative! That means you are afraid of ghosts!”

Bill Muray could be also make a cameo. Who knows. It was his idea to put some of the actresses playing female Ghostbusters in this movie.

@SuperDude001, is that statement regarding that it can't be too bad as a Ghostbusters film, or as a film in general? Because Aykroyd hasn't made some of the best film choices over the last few years.

If you're even joking about wanting to see a director tortured because he's not doing something you like with a movie, you need to reevaluate your life. Maybe seek help while you're at it.

Why couldn't it have been Aykroyd instead of Ramis?

If I were him? I would keep myself away from this train wreck! No matter if he's part of the original or not!

That's a letdown, I'd rather not see him if he's not Ray. Cool he's getting paid tho.

Sounds fantastic. Fans of the original will love it.

@BlackandYellow Hope that was sarcasm.

Still not seeing this movie. Not that it matters - for every fan of the original cast and movies who doesn't see this movie, some foolish person will hand over money for a family set of tickets. Yet, people on this site are usually right when it comes to calling the pitfalls of films; it could crash in burn, but I think we have a better chance of it getting a litany of crap reviews and not making as much money as anticipated at the box office.

Trailer or not, still not seeing this movie.... Arguably, a boycott of this movie might send a message to Hollywood to quit ruining films of the 80s or to stop pushing Melissa McCarthy on us. Food for thought I suppose.

@mrcummings

I'm serious about 5% of the time on here. Unfortunately deadpan doesn't come across very well on the internet.

"I hope this movie burns."

As do I. Right alongside that abortion of a wreck of a reboot called Fantastic Four.

This movie will not make it's money back. I have two words John Carter.

I have a huge doubt this will resemble a GhostBusters movie. Rather it will be Brides Maids 2 with some Ghosts.
