Diablo Cody is rewriting the script for the "Evil Dead" remake being put together by Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Rob Tapert.

The writer, who won the Academy Award for "Juno," more recently wrote the 2009 horror-comedy "Jennifer's Body."

Familiar CBM helmer Raimi is back with his original "Evil Dead" producing partners Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell on the Ghost House Pictures project for Mandate.

Fede Alvarez is directing, and wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues.

Hopefully Cody's screenplay will be adapted into something more successful than Jennifer's Body...
