I agree about New Moon and was ultimately disappointed. Can't predict about Eclipse, but that trailer is certainly selling the movie -- and effectively -- better than the first two were sold as far as I'm concerned.

@Ed- I agree. New Moon was better, but still far from being good. This trailer gives a little more hope. Interesting to see what Slade does with this one.

I liked the first film. New Moon was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. This one, LOOKS like it could be cool but. . . well. . .

@Ed the first movie's trailer was The vamp and her running through the forest. Why would I wanna watch someone go for a jog while giving someone a piggy back ride? That's as bad as LoTR I don't wanna watch people walking...

Ed- Do you really think this vampire 90210 nonsense belongs here? These movies were made for little screaming girls who don't have the sense to see Bram Stoker's Dracula. These films are of no use to the real world, or normal people in it. Like I said little screaming girls who don't know how to breathe without a cell phone in their hand. Any normal male who likes these films needs to check if they are going to get a period soon. Maybe the theatres can hand out pads to male ticket buyers.

lol, when I was looking at this, I misread the teaser and thought it said David SPADE was directing Eclipse, which would definitely make it edgier. I thought it was going to be a spoof video, but sadly, it was the real thing.

All I was saying is that the trailer looked cool, and I remain convinced that it does -- thanks, I'm sure, to David Slade. Twilight had a couple of tolerable moments, but there were many sequences of New Moon that were just laugh-out-loud bad. I'm a fan of Dark Shadows, Fright Night, Near Dark, Lost Boys, Buffy, Angel, True Blood -- I love the vampire genre, and because of that the Twilight films frustrate the heck out of me.

Then, of course, they go on to gross $1 billion between them, so what do I know?

Anyway, completely forgetting Twilight and New Moon, I still think the Eclipse TRAILER looks cool.

Oh, man, can't stop the bleeding. I'm sure there's more pain coming!

You know GOOD Edward!:) Ah listen I just like to poke fun, I don't care what anyone likes or doesn't like. I love the vampire genre too..or at least I did before the likes of Twilight and Underworld..I don't think those movies are much better. Love all of the stuff you mentioned too except Dark Shadows, what be that? Also, anyone see the Lost Boys sequel? Oh my God..how do you make a bad film from that concept..its even supposed to be a bit tongue in cheek, but they made it head in ass!

@Ror. I was appalled at the Lost Boys sequel... Utter disappointment. You honestly don't know about Dark Shadows? Check it out. I think its the Doctor Who of the Vampire genre. (Is that a good comparison Ed and Tea?) I watched some growing up but haven't seen all of it. It was pretty good though.

Sit back, RorMachine, and I'll tell you a tale of a 1966-71 soap opera called Dark Shadows. It started off as a Gothic mystery series, ratings sucked, show was going to get canceled. As last-ditch effort, producer Dan Curtis added actor Jonathan Frid as vampire Barnabas Collins and, long story short, the show became nothing short of a pop-culture phenomenon.

A total of 1,225 episodes were produced (available from MPI on DVD), as well as two movies (1970's House of Dark Shadows and 1971's Night of Dark Shadows), a 13-episode 1991 prime time revival starring Ben Cross as Barnabas Collins; a failed 2004 TV pilot that starred Alec Neuman as Barnabas, and now a new movie in development, scheduled to go into production at the end of the year, with Johnny Depp as Barnabas with Tim Burton directing.

And, Teabag, Big Finish Productions does the audio dramas. You should look them up.

I know the words "Earth's Mightiest" sends chills up a lot of people's spines, but I'll soon be launching a Dark Shadows page over there.
