First Clip From Let Me In

First Clip From Let Me In

Yahoo have debuted the first clip for the remake of Let The Right One In starring Chloe Moretz and Kodi Smit McPhee..

In this clip Owen confronts Abby about her less than normal lunar activities...

As much as I can't see the point in this remake, I do think it looks to be shaping up very nicely indeed. Look for Dark Horse's comic prequel in December; Let Me In: Crossroads.

HMMMMM, I swear back in highschool, a girl I knew was like 5 foot something, looked exactly like her no joke, It's good to see our CBM actors branching out.

I really hope Chloe Moretz keeps her act together because I think she's one of the most promising actresses I've seen in quite a while. Looking forward to seeing this!

That looked pretty good.

But it also looked like an almost exact replica of the original, just Americanized. So yeah, I don't really see the point either.

I still can't see the point, either. I loved the original, but just like you said @Billy it just looks like an Americanized copy. I just can't imagine any instance in which this turns out anywhere near as good as the original, sorry to say. Just trying to make a quick buck, it seems.

@Intruder: As far as this movie goes, I'd have to agree. The girl in the original really sold the monster. As much as I liked her in Kick-Ass, I think Chloe's a bit too cute to pull this role off. I guess that's why it seems to be "Americanized," though.

Now, that little boy on the other hand... Kid looks like a fecking creeper. Think they got the roles switched, haha.

The vampire in the original movie was really a boy disguised as a girl, but it was only hinted at. Look it up.

Even though it is starting to look like just another 'americanized' remake, we have to remember that it is still based on a novel. Of course the scenes and dialogue are going to come off the same because they were from the same book. They're just following the same beats of the pages and words. And for those who don't know, the original filmmaker said lots of parts were left out from the original novel. Matt stated that this isn't supposed to be a remake of the film but an different adaptation of the book. There could be more that wasn't covered in the classic that could wind up on here. So far the detective angle is looking like an example of one of them.

And I know just like all of you that there really was no point in doing a remake of this. But they approached Matt to do the job and being a fan of the novel he just had to do it. I still have faith in this though.

I love the first version! I'll see this one as well and I hope its not crap like other American versions. I will never understand why American cinema has to remake or redo films that are within 3yrs old in the country they originate from? (like this film and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo which was released this year)

We have a lot of creative talent here in America and we need to stop taking FRESH ideas from other countries and ruining the originality that these films have going for them.

I wouldn't call castration a "disguise" but you are correct... sort of.

I'm going to see this movie, and I don't care what people think. I don't care if the original was better or if Chloe Moretz is too young and too cute for this,
I MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!
I need a bloody Vampire film to get the taste of Twilight out of my mouth. :P

If you have a dog, I would recommend licking it's asshole. That will probably be the most effective means to get the taste of Twilight out of your mouth. Call me if you don't have a dog.
