Lionsgate's "Texas Chainsaw 3D" continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper’s 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace. The townspeople long suspected the Sawyer family, owners of a local barbeque pit, were somehow responsible. Their suspicions were finally confirmed one hot summer day when a young woman escaped the Sawyer house following the brutal murders of her four friends. Word around the small town quickly spread, and a vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer stronghold, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family – or so they thought.

Decades later and hundreds of miles away from the original massacre, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. After embarking on a road trip with friends to uncover her roots, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion’s dank cellars…

I was actually expecting something different. A nod to the original one in the cinematography at least. Shame on me!

At first I thought to myself. "Really? Another one?" But this looks really good! Texas Chainsaw looks better than Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Begining.

The first one is my favorite horror film. The second one, for what it is, is one of the funniest horror films I've ever seen.

This is poop and I don't like it.

I don't follow the logic. They rebooted it a few years ago and then they made a prequel instead of a sequel and now they are making a "direct" sequel to the original and totally act as if the sequels to the original never took place and it appears this sequel takes place in modern...

Oh no...I've just gone crosseyed.

man....the 2003 remake is so much better...the trailer was better then that shit...that just looks like a straight to dvd movie...oh and the beginning wasn't bad! i mean when he kills his boss and takes the chainsaw and starts walking down the road..the image alone..is epic!

If they had to shorten the title, it would have been cooler as Chain Saw Massacre, as a nod to the original.

Hope they dont make Leatherface invincible like he was in the previous remake. I mean what the hell Jessica Biel hacked his hand off and he was still alive.
The first was awesome because it was so realistic.

Something I've noticed with these horror reboots is that they appeal to the MTV viewing audience.

You didn't see that in the originals, nor even more recently in the fantastic "The Strangers"
