Former Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki Joins FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES

In addition to the already reported Wilmer Valderrama (criminal mastermind Carlos) D.J. Cotrona (Seth Gecko) Zane Holtz (Richie Gecko) and Jesse Garcia (Texas Ranger Freddie Gonzalez), EW now reveal that Adrianne Palicki, Jake Busey and Lane Garrison have also joined. According to the site, "Palicki plays Vanessa Styles, a woman from Seth Gecko’s past. Busey plays eccentric, mythology-obsessed professor Aiden Tanner. And Garrison is Pete, a liquor store clerk who gets more than he bargained for when the Gecko brothers enter his shop." If you haven't seen the original movie, it's a sporadically successful mix of crime thriller and horror flick, featuring a pretty unforgettable dance-cum-bloodbath scene with Salma Hayek. It spawned various comic books and a couple of straight to DVD sequels.

I'm interested to see how this goes. I love the original film to this day. But DJ Cptrpna taking over the part of Seth Gecko is a little weird.

Between her and Gal Gadot, I really think Wonder Woman is just doomed when it comes to the film and TV.

Clearly acting talent, a sense of presence, and actual charisma mean nothing to the casting directors, since they're just hiring pretty models to play one of the most iconic female comic characters ever created.

We can't even look at Gal's past acting for any confidence in her because it's limited and crappy.

I'm just waiting for the latest (Justice League) Batman-vs-Superman casting news:

I loved the first 'Dusk Till Dawn'. Easily one of my favorite Vampire movies ever. But seriously? Do we need a TV series based on it? I don't see this lasting long.

I'll normally watch anything with her in it cause I think she's gorgeous as hell but seriously? [frick]ing FEZ! They really need to stop casting this jackass in shit, he cant [frick]ing act worth for shit. Plus hes a jackass in real life as well. This show is doomed before it even airs!!!!!!!!!

Adrianne was awesome as Wonder Woman.
She did great with the terrible script and costume she had.

She's very athletic and 5'11, she was the tallest person on screen in that pilot and definitely showed dominance on screen.

She was my pick for the movie. Alas, I'm happy with Gal Gadot.

And I look forward to seeing her in this project!

She was actually a decent choice but the pilot was total ass! Now, I'm going to bitch about Gal Gadot and how much she's going to suck as WW even though we have yet to see her perform because that's what the cool kids are doing these days. I love the internet!

I love Adrianne Palicki. I really liked the first FDTD. That is a classic vampire movie IMO.

I'll definitely be checking this out.

I still haven't watched the pilot yet. I do want to give it a watch just for the heck of it.

Palicki was AWESOME Wonder Woman, and also was villain Sirene in "Aquaman" pilot with Hartley from "Smallville" as Aquaman, and even in "Smallville" she was a pre-Kara before the real one in later seasons. She is regulary in comic books live action, hope to see her in awesome "Arrow" series too.
