A few weeks ago we learned through MTV that the script for
Ghostbusters 3 is currently being written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. Even with the script still under construction, rumor circulated that Harold Ramis would be in the director's chair this time around.
Today, Ivan Reitman himself confirmed that he will return to direct the next installment of the franchise. Critics have said that Reitman was a major contributing factor to the success the first two films had; mostly due to his cohesion with the cast. Though he hasn't disclosed any plot points that might be covered in the film, we do know that the movie will have four new Ghostbusters as the main cast and cameos from the the original stars.
