GLASS Motion Posters Give New Superhero Names To Mr. Glass & David Dunn Ahead Of Tomorrow's Trailer Launch

Ahead of tomorrow's new trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's Glass, Universal Pictures has released two more motion poster teasers that give both David Dunn and the titular Mr. Glass new superhero names.

Universal is all set to launch the official theatrical trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's Glass tomorrow and to get fans extra excited, they've released three very cool motion posters, spotlighting the film's three lead characters.

While one of Kevin Wendell Crumb's (James McAvoy) personalities in Split was known as The Beast, it appears that both Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson) and David Dunn (Bruce Willis) will also be getting new and improved superhero monikers since the new posters refer to the pair as The Mastermind and The Overseer, respectively.

Now, whether these are their official superhero names in the movie or just clever descriptions for promotional purposes remains to be seen, but it wouldn't be a stretch to see the inhabitants of their world refer to them by these names since the previous film did reveal that "The Horde" was a name given to Crumb by the media.

M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals—2000’s Unbreakable, from Touchstone, and 2016’s Split, from Universal—in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: Glass.

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.

Glass features:
Director: M. Night Shyamalan
Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price/Mr. Glass
Bruce Willis as David Dunn
James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb/The Horde
Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke
Sarah Paulson as Dr. Ellie Staple
Spencer Treat Clark as Joseph Dunn
Charlayne Woodard as Mrs. Price

Glass hits theaters January 18

Hell yeah. If Shamalamanan pulls this off this can be another great trilogy in the books.

I'm quite interested in this. It's fun not having a clue where this is going. Here's hoping that he gets me in the feels as much as the original Unbreakable ending. That was classic. My two cents...

Don't think this will be their superhero names. Mr. Glass is way better than The Mastermind

@Saintsinnister - Yeah I think those titles are just brief descriptions of their character if anything.

@Saintsinnister - agree. They are more descriptions. I remember seeing posted here in an article that quasiofficially Dunn is "The Sentinel". And of course Elijah is "Mr.Glass".

@SimpleeComplex - I didn't know if Dunn had an official name. The Sentinel is good, better than unbreakable or the overseer.

@Saintsinnister - I always called him Security man but I guess that's a little too on the nose.

This is my most anticipted movie right now. The first movie is one of the best super hero movies and one of the best movies period. I can't wait.

This Shyamalan guy seems to like giving his movies shocking twists, usually right at the end of the movie. In one or two, the twist was, there wasn't one. I'm going to guess what the twist of this movie will be. I think it will be that it's not only creating a universe based on two of his previous movies, but that it's creating a universe from all of his previous movies.

@ImmovableForce - how many of his old films does he have the rights to?

That's an interesting concept and I like it.

Sounds like a more properly interconnected version of what Cloverfield aimed to be, instead of just being a Twilight Zone style movie series like it ended up being in the end.

@ImmovableForce - THat would be pretty cool but which other movies, in particular, would be connected? They can't really connect it to 6th sense because the unbreakable series isn't about the dead, Avatar is... we won't even speak on that. All his movies are weird.

Wait what?! A new trailer already?! I’m not ready! I’m not even sure I want to watch another trailer again so soon! But I know I’m not going to be able to resist! What do I do?! How do go about this?! What is the meaning of life?! Wait, what?

But seriously, this is my most anticipated movie. Like, ever.

Could Haley Joel Osment appear in this? His ability in THE SIXTH SENSE is basically a superpower. They can easily ignore the fact that his ghost friend Malcolm Crowe looks like David Dunn, since the character has moved on and wouldn’t appear anyway.

For some reason I found those to be pretty scary.

Can't wait for this. Not gonna lie, I unashamedly love Shyamalan's twists at the end of his films. I still remember the audible gasps from the audience when I saw the Village in theaters. So good.

Hoping for a great twist this time around.
